Mar 5th 2011 - Self Portrait

I dont take portraits, self or otherwise. But, the lighting outside was good and the exit sign for once wasnt flickering on and off so i figured what the hell. I got the pic I wanted on the first shot...lucky? No, pure skill (i wish). Enjoy.

Feb 25th 2011 - Hollywood, FL Train Station

Meet Dick...



This winner cut in front of me at the Tri-Rail ticket machine..."sure" i exclaimed, "you and your Target bag have far more pressing matters to attend to than the rest of us."



Staring at him through the lens of my camera, I tried to will him onto the tracks as the P510 quickly approached the station...



Although I was unsuccessful in turning him into Channel 7 Headline news (and having exclusive shots of a person falling into the path of an oncoming train), it lead to a couple of good pics.

Feb 24th 2011 - Shuttle Discovery Launch

3 hour drive there, 7 hour drive back...Jesus. Well worth the drive though. This is the closest I have ever been to a shuttle launch; and to half a million rednecks.The view was serene, the temperature was perfect and the launch; 500,000 gallons of liquid hydrogen and oxygen lifting 4.5 million pounds of tax dollars off the pad and into space, amazing. Half the population of Florida crammed into a 2 mile stretch of beach, no bathrooms in sight, shitty food options and thousands of water bugs under the mat you are sitting on; not amazing. But it made for some great photos....
